If you like original survivors, then this is truck for you. This is 1979 US spec original paint FJ40. I’ve followed the truck since 2016. The truck came from ND but is in WI now.

The "Striped Survivor" is an awesome FJ40 with a professionally rebuilt 2F engine, power steering, New Old Man Emu suspension, rebuilt axles, new exhaust and lot more.

There's a lot of charm and cool patina here but there's also some rust in the rear quarters.

The previous owner spent liberally on the all the mechanicals. The list is long and impressive. She's had considerable cosmetic restoration as well. New upholstery, new headliner, rebuilt rear heater, new weatherstripping, new window felts, new door cards, Tuffy center console and more.

All that’s left to do here is decide if you want to repair the rear rust spots and repaint or leave “as is” or something in between. Don't let the rust repair scare you away from a very cool original and worthy FJ40 that's totally sorted out mechanically. Your investment will be secure!
