Sold - US Spec - Power Steering - Old Man Emu

Updated: May 23

This 1980 FJ40 has been Sold. I owned this truck in 2013 and sold her to the current owner. She's a very nice Olive Brown FJ40 with factory power steering in excellent condition. Original 2F engine with Weber carburetor and Toyota H42 long 4-speed, split case transmission. The truck has a full floating rear axle, four wheel disc brakes and limited slip differential. The emergency brake has been upgraded to the cable actuated design used by Toyota after August of 1980.

Odometer shows 42K miles and based on the overall condition this could be accurate however without provenance we're saying "total mileage is unknown". She spent the last nine years with her current owner being sparingly driven and always garaged. Current owner estimates he's put 500 miles on the truck since 2013.

This truck had a full frame off restoration in the 2000's. In January 2013 I oversaw a refresh that included many new parts including but not limited to new Toyota rear lamps, new emblems, new fiberglass cap, rain gutter gasket, headliner, fuel pump, heater valve and many of other OEM parts. She wears 33x10.50 BFG AT's wrapped around factory correct Toyota wheels and hubcaps. Other upgrades include the Old Man Emu suspension and Tuffy locking center console,

All mechanicals including the engine, brakes, clutch, transmission are in good working order.

This FJ40 comes with the original Owners manual, toolkit, jack, jack rods and inspection lamp. A compression test found all cylinders to be between 132 and 138 PSI
