I've looked at thousands of FJ40’s. I know a good one when I see it. My gut tells me this is a really nice, mostly original example owned by a caring, meticulous & proud owner.

 

This 2-owner 1975 Mustard FJ40 California smog compliant Land Cruiser has been the owned and pampered by her current owner for the last 10 years. She has always been used for hunting in the Sierra's and her current owner keeps her garaged at his hunting cabin in the mountains of Northern CA. Each time she comes back from the trail, the owner lovingly gives her a bath and checks all the fluids. She's been very well cared for and it shows. The body and frame are in excellent condition. All floors are solid and rust free. Everything works.

The majority of her Mustard paint is original. She was upgraded to disc brakes in front. The owner worked closely with Howell Engine Development to add Howell fuel injection for reliable performance at varying elevations, RV Cam, performance headers and exhaust from Specter Off Road have been added as well as an HEI distributor. Underneath you will find an HFS suspension providing plenty of ground clearance and next to new BFG 31x10.50 tires mounted on white spokes. If you get into a fix, you can get right out using the 12000 lb. Mile Marker winch! The truck has a new exhaust, new headliner and the extended legroom kit for those over six foot. Between the seats resides a Tuffy locking console.

The top has been off one time and all new OEM rubber was installed along with a new headliner. The overall height of the truck is 80 inches. All the parts removed by the owner have been kept. Smog parts, air cleaner, original carb, original console and several additional new soft parts all come with the Land Cruiser. You also get an additional set of wheels and tires, the original jack, toolkit, jack rods, Owners Manual and several repair manuals.
