Here's a super nice 1978 Land Cruiser FJ40 restomod that was hand built from the ground up by Scott Gesik at RestoredFJ40 in Lincoln City, Oregon. 

 

The truck was commissioned by a customer in Texas and has been tucked away for a few years with very occasional use. The engine has just 33.2 hours and I estimate she's been driven less than 1500 miles. Zero rust, no body damage. The truck is essentially like new.

 

The truck is powered by the Chevy Performance RamJet PFI mated to the 4L60E automatic transmission, Saginaw power steering, air conditioning, ARB lockers, 4-wheel disc brakes, Warn Dual Force winch, Corbeau seats, full roll cage, shackle reversal, 33" BFG MT tires and list goes on.

The 4L60E automatic transmission can be controlled by the Lokar Shift Transmission controller.  The twin stick transfer case is simple with separate controls for 2WD and 4WD and Hi or Low range.

The suspension consists Man-A-Fre Safari 2.5" lift with Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks, aluminum alloy 15" wheels wrapped with BFG 33x10.50 Mud Terrain tires.

 

Up front you will find an Man-A-Fre FJ40 front bumper. This heavy duty bumper is made out of 1/4″ thick steel plate and features up-swept ends for better approach angle and clearance. The upright supports for the grill/brush guard section are 1/2" thick steel with built-in reinforced shackle mounting points.

The tub is lined with Raptor lining underneath and the interior floors and bed have color matched lining that is tough, serviceable and looks great. All interior seats are Corbeau Baja RS Suspension Seats in Black Vinyl. All seats feature three point seat belts and the custom built interior roll frame. The truck is features black accents. Headlight bezel, bumpers, hood hooks, side mirrors and rear protective diamond plate corners are finished in black.

ARB Lockers, tilt steering column and floor shifter for the automatic transmission. Vintage Air conditioning blows cold when it's hot and provides heat in the winter! Wing windows in the front doors and kick out vents provide additional ventilation.
