If you're into survivors and want an FJ40 that proudly wears her history, this truck could be for you. A California smog legal NAS 1980 Land Cruiser FJ40 which we believe to have only 28200 miles! She has recently had several improvements like a new headliner, new windshield, reconditioned fiberglass top, new door weatherstripping and several other items. (See Highlights at left).

 

The owner spent a considerable amount of time and money to source all the OEM Toyota parts needed to add factory power steering to this FJ40 and these parts will be optional and negotiable.

She's had three owners and spent her life California and Washington and was purchased new in Thousand Oaks, CA where the original owner lived from1980 to 1990.  The 2nd owner was from Reseda, CA and bought the truck in 1990. He owned the truck until 2018. In the years he owned the truck he rarely drove her.  In 1996 he moved to Washington where the truck sat until 2018 when the current owner purchased her and she was moved back to CA.

 

This is a very original truck. Original paint, engine, transmission and suspension. Original seats and mats, rear heater, stock wheels and hubcaps with 31x10.50 BFG's. She has loads of of patina. The truck is 99.5% rust free with one small rust spot in the passenger rear quarter panel.  All of the paint is original except where you see the primer. Includes tools, jack, jack rods, original Owners manual. Fresh quart of color matched automotive paint.

The truck reportedly runs excellent as seen in the video below and everything works as it should with the exception of the windshield washers, fasten seat belt light and carb cooling fan. A rare find indeed. Drive her and enjoy her "as is" while you continue to make incremental improvements.
