It's not often I see trucks that have withstood the test of time like this 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40!  Acquired in 2015 by the seller, he has added 4k of the 95k miles shown. The truck retains her original Beige paint and classic interior. With the exception of refreshed upholstery and an updated but still vintage designed radio.

Power is from a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Much of the paint is original. There's some small areas of surface rust on the lower portion of the rear doors and the cargo bed.  This could easily be repaired but it's not advancing and folks who love survivors would prefer the original condition over refinishing.

The truck was originally sold by Toyota Dealer in February 1982 in Mesa Arizona.  The owner lived in Glendale Arizona. This FJ remained in the Phoenix area with the original owner for about 25 years in which time he drove her about 85,000 miles. In 2007 the Land Cruiser was sold to the second owner who lived in a suburb of San Antonio, TX. The second owner always kept the FJ40 in the garage and he added about 6,000 miles during his seven years of ownership.

 

The current owner purchased her in October 2015, and has always kept her in a climate controlled garage. He recently completed another truck project and is looking to reclaim some garage space, so decided to part with the FJ40.

Stock 15″ OEM wheels are finished in gray with stock hubcaps and wear BFG A/T tires. The truck retains a stock suspension.

The interior features a Retrosound stereo, original seats trimmed in gray vinyl with matching door panels and OEM mats. Equipment includes a roll bar, inward-facing rear jump seats, and a center console with rear cabin heater. The steel dashboard is painted body-color and includes a black dash pad, three-spoke steering wheel, instrument cluster with 85-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, water temperature, and amperage. The six-digit odometer shows 95.5k miles.

The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six is equipped with a OEM carburetor. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The emission controls are intact.

This FJ40 includes keys for all doors, owners manual, jack, jack rods, toolkit and a clean Auto Check report, and a clean KY title. There are some maintenance records from the current ownership. This is a special FJ40. It's totally original and well cared for. Trucks like this are few and far between..
