I call this Land Cruiser "The Perfect Storm" She a California born FJ62 as can be seen by the EPA sticker under the hood. She's been in Escondido since day one and has a staggering 42,850 miles. My three year old Tacoma TRD-Off Road has higher miles.  She was owned by an M.D. and his wife that moved from Chicago to CA and thus the license plate WESTVGO! 

 

The truck looks and drives pretty much like new. The front seats were always covered with sheepskins preserving the original upholstery to a tee. She must have only been driven around town as there is zero road rash on the hood or front clip. The chrome is gorgeous! The body is ALL original paint & body panels. The interior, engine, drivetrain, suspension, everything down to the radio is original. The toolkit, jack and spare rest peacefully undisturbed. There are no modifications other than the tires and the addition of a LoJack antitheft system.

The 100% original interior is in superb condition. No cuts, tears or cracks in any of the seats, headliner or the dash. Stock items include the 2-spoke steering wheel, shifter, and passenger grab handle. Instrumentation includes a tach and a full suite of secondary gauges. The 6-digit odometer shows 42850 miles, All accessories work as they should. The large rear cargo area is given additional space by a flat-folding rear bench seat. The original Toyota AM/FM/Cassette functions perfectly and the OEM striped fabric upholstery is immaculate.

 

Now if that is not enough, add in the clear title, clean AutoCheck report, original owners manual, service manual and a big three-ring binder with every maintenance receipt since the truck was new plus the handwritten fuel logbook noting every gallon of gas, cost and mileage and you can begin to understand how unparalleled this Land Cruiser really is.

Power is delivered from her original fuel-injected 4.0L straight-six mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The injected 4.0L 3F-E straight-six was new for the FJ62 model. Specifications are 155 horsepower with 220 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission, 2-speed transfer case, and front and rear differentials. This truck is stock with no modifications.

The body is 100% rust free and straight wearing the original Toyota white (045) paint and all brightwork is impeccable. Mirror-like OEM chrome wheels wear Dunlop tires in front and Toyo tires in back with the original Dunlop spare mounted underneath.  Badging, lighting, and factory trim are complete throughout.

The truck runs and drives excellent and has received regular service throughout her life which fully documented including a new oil pan in 2019. Suffice to say that this is among the top five examples on the planet when it comes to time capsule survivors that have been well cared for, garage kept and unmolested.
