Does this 1978 FJ40 really have only 31,783 miles? Good question!

As the story goes, this truck was used on a ranch in Texas for many years before being sold to the current owner in 2007. That's believable. Texas is full of Ranchers who like Land Cruisers. We have reliable information from the current owner has driven her less than 3000 miles since 2007.

I've seen hundreds of FJ40's and some of them with very low miles. She appears to be wearing her original paint and it looks WAY better than most. I can see the spot welds. The body has all the earmarks of an unmolested truck. The interior is pretty original although the front seats have been re-upholstered. The floor mat looks next to new which is another clue.

Let's not confuse potentially low miles with originality. This gal has some modification, but they're are the kind of modifications I like! Power steering, fuel injection, Old Man Emu Dakar suspension, Warn 9000 lb. winch, Toyota white spokes and 33x12.50 BFG tires.

And there there's the odometer disclosure that states the truck had 29162 actual miles in 2007. So is this the real deal or not? I'm a sucker for this kind of mystery and like UFO's and Bigfoot, I WANT TO BELIEVE!
