Original Paint Survivor
This 1968 has been in California for several years and the body reflects the CA climate. Very minimal rust if any. The truck retains most it's original paint, original engine, transmission and drivetrain. Here owner purchased the truck from the General Manager of Piercey Toyota in Milpitas, CA, in 2019. She has been garaged and driven regularly. She even made a Father / Son journey from California to Colorado in 2020.
She is finished in Dune Beige over black and is powered by a 3.9-liter F inline-six paired (Engine #252177) with a three-speed manual transmission and two-speed transfer case. Recently service includes a new clutch and pressure plate and regularly oil changes. The brake system is said to have been serviced. (when?)
The seats have been reupholstered in black vinyl and the headliner has been replaced. Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer along with gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 97k miles, just over 3500 of which were added by the current owner over the last two years.
The 15″ steel wheels wear Super Traxion tires, including the spare mounted out back. The wheel have period correct hubcaps. While the body is very rust free, you will see a few areas where previous modifications have left behind some bonus holes for accessories that have since been removed. She wears this history proudly. The frame is in excellent condition and also free of rust. There is no rust on floors.
The 3.9-liter F inline-six is paired with a three-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. Mechanical work carried out by the owner reportedly include replacement of the clutch and pressure plate, valve adjustment, new clutch and Aisin pressure plate and resurfaced flywheel. In addition, the owner converted the shifter from the floor back to it's original configuration on the column. 4WD works as it should and EVERYTHING electrical works as it should.
She is being offered on behalf of the current owner with some service records, a factory manual, rare original tool kit, jack, jack rods, NOS inspection light and a clean California title.
